Collage artist Hannah Hoch merges vinatge images of corky values and inspires my project for the semester. the blending of rustic colors and crafty cut out images reminds me of the vintage card collection that will be used as a material for the collage.

Shabby Chic volume one by Laura Ashley, was one of the first design art books ever purchased for me at a garage sale. This was my my light bulb turning on for my apprication to preserving of the "older used goods" in life. Collecting antiques and reusing them in the modern world has become a hobby and "trendy" hobby at that. Shopping at thrift strores, antique shops and garage sales was always a thrilling expirience and was a magic treasure chest of goods. When stationary caught my eye, sifting through old photos and antique stamps and greeting cards,  I began to relize thier is something so personal and timeless about how we share affection through our hands , by a pen and through our unspoken words.
